Why such a big deal?

With the free agency in full effect every one is trying to impress LeBron James in order to get him to play in their city.  The one question that I have is why is someone that has not won anything significant as a team.  He is regarded one of the two best players in NBA and has won back to back most valuable player awards but yet no NBA title.  There are other players out there such as Dwayne Wade who has one an NBA title but not getting all the buzz.  Once again I ask “Why such a big deal?”

Well he finally got his wish Brandon Marshall is leaving the Denver Broncos and he will end up in Miami with Bill Parcells and the Dolphins. Doesn’t it seem like yesterday when it was Jay Cutler throwing to Marshall and all the talk was how long it would take for this duo to overtake Steve Young and Jerry Rice in the record books. Well in the span of less that 2 years the Broncos lose Mike Shanahan, Jay Cutler, and Brandon Marshall. I really hope the owner knows what he is doing because it seems that the hiring of Josh McDaniel is causing heartache to Broncos fans. As for Marshall, I believe he just made Chad Henne a much better QB and with the help of Bill Parcells he will flourish and continue his pontential Hall of Fame career.

Sex Addiction????

dons-corner

What’s up fam? I was listening to the radio this week and the host made a good point. Is there really a so called sex addiction or is it that you are married? You see if you have multiple partners as a single woman or man it is considered having a good time or sewing your oats, but if you are married it turns to sex addiction. This could be an excuse but the facts are still true. Let’s take the samples of Tiger Woods vs Derek Jeter, Jeter is doing the same things that Tiger is doing but he is not getting all the attention and is not called a sex addict. So it looks like the biggest mistake Tiger made was getting married! Holla at your boy!

Serena Gets the Best Out of Big Sister Venus

87978006MT203_The_ChampionsOnce again ThisRichLife is up at dawn watching the all Williams final. Serena beat Venus in straight sets 7-6 (3), 6-2 winning her third career title and stopping Venus from winning her sixth. The way Venus and Serena have been playing the whole week; you kind of knew no one really had a chance against them. Serena had a drag down fight against Dementieva in the semis to get to the finals and big sis Venus kicked the hell out of Safina. I ask you, did Safina know she was playing tennis? The number 1 ranked woman’s single player was embarrassingly awful. Congrats, Serena.

You’re next Roddick and Federer; but of course on tape delay. Thanks NBC.

I hate it when the weather has the possibility of becoming the deciding factor in a Major….Hello British Open. Thursday play has been suspended and Tiger is 1+ after double bogeying 5 but birdying 6. Phil hasn’t even started his round yet. Let’s hope Friday we can get in a round and a half of golf.

sammy_sosa1Is it just me or are you tired of the steroid hype.  Believe me, I’m not a proponent of using steriods; I’m just saying that the league, the coaches, the trainers and all the players have known about steroid abuse for the last decade.  So now, why is it such a surprise or such a disgrace?  Also, weren’t the results of the player testing supposed to be confidential?  So why the hell are all these names popping out now.  Can’t we MOVE on from this mess?  New policies have been implemented so let’s go on from here…Manny…and stop living in the past.  BTW…didn’t Sammy help save baseball in 1998?
