The new Honda Insight is the “little engine that could.” Packed in this small frame is a powerful 1.3-liter 4-cylinder engine with battery-powered electric motor. This 4 door hatchback doesn’t neglect safety for fuel effiency. There’s ABS traction control and both front and curtain side airbags.

 

 

2010 Toyota Prius

The OG hybrid is still the best selling hybrid on the market. Reasonably priced at a MSRP of $22,000 - $27,270, the Prius is here to stay. Not sure if you can still get an HOV pass but traction control is standard as is dual front and side airbags. Passengers, don’t fret, curtain airbags are also standard.
